501st Legion | MidSouth Garrison

On May the 4th the 501st Legion-MidSouth Garrison and Rebel Legion-Corellian Base were invited to the Adventure Science Center located in Nashville, Tennessee to help celebrate the international event : “May the Fourth Be With You.” Darth Vader even put down his light saber to celebrate and picked up a clipboard to help judge the kid’s costume contest with Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker. Kids got to travel on the Millennium Falcon, with a replica of the ship console, part of the Full Scale Falcon project. It’s part of a world-wide project to re-create the entire space craft, which will be assembled and land right in Nashville. For more than 60 years, Adventure Science Center has brought science to life for children in Middle Tennessee, Southern Kentucky, Northern Alabama and beyond. The Center offers hands-on, interactive exhibits and engaging programs that encourage visitors of all ages to explore how science, invention and innovation affect their lives. Adventure Science Center encourages imagination and curiosity, and engages the senses in the fascinating world of science. The Science Center also houses the Sudekum Planetarium, offering world-class programs on astronomy and other sciences on a 63-foot dome.
